Dr. Scott graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio Dental School in 1983. He has practiced in a variety of settings- solo, corrections, and group. Dr. Scott joined Carus Dental (fka Longhorn) in 1985, became a partner in 1997, and was elected President of the Dr. Group in 1998. Carus Dental is a multi-specialty, 25-location, 60-doctor group serving greater Austin, CenTex and Houston markets. In 2012 Dr. Scott started a pediatric Medicaid group in the Dallas/Ft Worth market – Tooth Dr. For Kids Dallas/Ft Worth. Both Carus and TDDF are affiliates of American Dental Partners (ADPi). Quality of Care is extremely important and Dr. Scott has led Carus through the rigorous accreditation process of the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). Carus has been accredited since 2000. Dr. Scott has served on the ADPi Sr Management Team (ALC), is currently serving on the Executive Team of the Dental Advisory Council, and is Chair of the Product Advisory Council. He is on the board of the American Dental Partners Foundation. Dr. Scott recently accepted a position with American Dental Partners as V. P. Clinical Development.


Dr. Scott has served as President of the UTHSCSA Alumni Association and its Board and has been named to the Dean’s Council.


Dr. Scott is a native Texan and has been married for 39 yrs, has two daughters and four grand kids.
