David Lopez is the entrepreneur behind and founder of Dental Whale, an innovative dental company carving a new category of group private practice ownership and management. A serial entrepreneur, Lopez founded his first business as a student at the University of Central Florida at the age of 19. Since then, Lopez developed several other businesses and franchise brands, and is a partner in more than 30 companies which generate over $100 million annually. One of those companies is Dental Fix Rx, which led to Lopez focusing his entrepreneurial energy into improving the dental industry.
Shortly after founding Froots, Lopez went on to start Dental Fix Rx, a fast-growing mobile dental equipment repair franchise company relieving dentists of the hassle and cost associated with equipment damage. Dental Fix Rx delivers immediate, on-site equipment service, hand-piece repairs and equipment sales through its network of highly-trained franchise professionals. The company has awarded more than 200 franchise territories that have serviced over 53,000 customers throughout North America.
Realizing other pain points dentists were experiencing, he partnered with other companies to solve their problems. He became an entrepreneurial partner with Tralongo, a company that facilitates dental practice acquisitions and provides ongoing management support. Tralongo assists clients by finding the practices that meet their criteria, performing due diligence, obtaining appropriate financing and, ultimately, acquiring the office. The firm also provides clients with behind-the-scenes management support. This led to his partnership with Conversion Whale, a rapidly-growing marketing firm that has become the nation’s leading Google AdWords marketing company for dental practices. Conversion Whale specializes in turning existing websites into profitable marketing engines and promises its clients a minimum of 50 new leads a month. The company currently partners with more than 700 dentists throughout North America.
